Hello, I would like the town of chilmark to start examining the feasibility of municipal fiber optic broadband similar to the city of Northampton located in the pioneer valley in the foothills of the Berkshires in western Massachusetts because Comcast/Xfinity charges residents tens of thousands of dollars to run a cable from the street pole to their homes especially in the middle of the woods and Verizon DSL is way too slow.

You can go here to get permits. The folks are very helpful.

Great place. Go here for permits, info brochures, those LUCY Vincent passes your Landlord forgot to tell you about when they claimed to have a "private beach" LOL. Bring your lease to do so. Friendly but you gotta drag them out from the back room! Parking. Once you see Chilmark library on your left heading up island, be ready for a sharp right or you'll be frustrated arguing about "who missed the turn" and have difficulty turning around. There's a cool plastic deer next door btw that used to trick me (I admit 20 years ago)

Be careful applying for jobs because the town website for employment opportunities are "ghost jobs" that are not available. Maybe the town likes wasting people's time or enjoys collecting resumes.

Dear Chilmark selectboard members, I would like the Town of Chilmark to start being interested in pursuing municipal fiber optic broadband ISP network connectivity infrastructure by partnering with a different Internet service provider such as: ripple fiber Inc because the download and upload speeds provided by Comcast are way too slow and unusable on rural up-island Martha's vineyard because Comcast doesn't provide guaranteed multi gigabit fully symmetrical download and upload speeds using NG-PON2 fiber to the premises (FTTP) to the end user on all of Martha's vineyard because Comcast has no incentive to upgrade their infrastructure on all of rural up-island Martha's vineyard. Regards, Jack Dunk
