Do not play any pianos provided by the city government. If you read carefully, you'll discover they can take photos of people without direct permission. Even photos of your family, whether they are playing the piano, or you are. They leave another of things open-ended. They don't specify when and where they can take photos of your family. They also send someone to take the photos. So you have to deal with a stranger, possibly peeking in through a windows, taking photos at your home. The thing is written as if you, yourself, wrote it. The way it is written you give permission to not only the city council (a group. Not an individual), but to also several strangers they are unwilling to divulge. And the number of people, and the types of people, are unknown to you. This is quite unlawful, if not illegal. As it gives them the right to do a lot more than you are told. BOYCOTT these pianos on parade. Contact the city, county, state and federal government. As this clearly violates your rights under federal law. It also gives them the right your face and the faces of your family. As well as their names. So if you want to be a model, actor, etc., or already are...then they take that from you.

The quickest nicest dmv visit ever the service center was a bit hard to find but the security guard was so helpful he was offering directions to anyone who looked lost, the lady who helped me renew my permit was super efficient and quick I’m so used to dmv workers dragging things out and walking back and forth and chatting with each other while I wait 2-3 hours, this was NOT the case i was a WALK IN and I was in and out maximum of 20 minutes!! I wish I would have gotten her name to give her kudos in this review!

I’ve had the pleasure of shooting quite a few different courthouse weddings at the Hennepin County Government Center in Downtown Minneapolis, MN and I’m always excited to photograph in that space. Although there seems to usually be a constant bustle of activity it doesn’t ever seem too busy or crowded while I’ve been there. I absolutely love the architecture and construction of the interior of the building as well as some of the reflections available from the water and granite inside and the symmetry of the checkered windows. The back outside courtyard area is also quite perfect for photography.

Hennepin County Government Center participates in Doors Open Minneapolis every year. They offer 20-30 minute guided tours in about the same frequency. Guides work in the building and are incredibly knowledgeable of both the architecture and the functions within the building. Its an incredible piece of architecture with this symmetrical design. The view from the top-most floor is also gorgeous. Security is tight and it can be confusing / difficult to get around. Everyone is super friendly though. Seeing where the county commissioners meet, the jury rooms and courtrooms was eye opening.

This is a beautiful building on the inside, though I will have to say the outside is not very attractive. If you’re here for jury duty, it’s pretty straightforward and they have a information desk in the center of the middle of the building if you are unsure of anything.
