The architecture and history here is palpable. I'm very impressed with the preservation of such a historic county courthouse. The Joliet limestone facade is wonderful. I'm sad my country of Will demolished it's own beautiful limestone court house but am glad that Ottawa has kept theirs. Lovely.

Room 201 at the LaSalle County Circuit Clerk is an absolute nightmare. The women who work there are rude, on the phone and in person. They are also gate keepers, denying passport applications because they think their judgment is better than yours (ex. denying your picture and ID despite the fact that they meet the requirements laid out by the State Department). Gate keepers that literally don't know the requirements of the job are simply incompetent. We went to Streator USPS, where the staff is more polite and more competent. Worth the drive not to waste time at the Ottawa Circuit Clerk.

Everyone there is rude you can be there for Jury Duty and they talk to you like your a criminal. The states broke so they gotta take as much of our money and time as possible. It's just funny they think I'm such a criminal but still want my input as a Jury. Can't have a foid card but I decide on people's lives I guess lol. Should be a federal lawsuit for how corrupt Lasalle County is honestly.

I needed to get records from 35 (!) years ago... The officer at the x-ray /check-in was very courteous, and directed me to the exact room needed, then the ladies there verified my ID & printed and certified the docs I needed (FREE!!) and sent me on my way. Very pleasant experience was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

I despise the judge that was over family child custody back in the early 2010s thanks to your rulings and believeing that a father having visits was more important over my son's safety my son later disclosed that during visits his grandfather was sexually abusing him fast track many years later disclosing that was the reason he refused to go. Thank God in Winnebago county in Rockford that judge believed him and didn't force him to continue to have contact with father.almost 5yrs had to pass. And even then CPS in that county did nothing as well . Lasalle county failed my son now has long standing trauma and mental health issues.
