I received clear information regarding the information I requested and what was needed from me. They were very friendly and professional.

I have had to come here twice, to Probate Court to deal with my parents estates. Once with an appointment and once without. Both experiences were wonderful. Everyone was compassionate, knowledgeable, and helpful. Despite the fact the place was packed and the phone ringing off the hook, everyone was hustling and patient. Maria was especially kind!!! I so appreciated these people!

The staff there is just awful. And it seems like with every milestone something changes. Almost as if they make up the rules that they go along. They don’t offer any real help to the deceased family. They just seem to throw forms at you to fill out with an, “oh well,” attitude. What was supposed to be at eight month process is now turning into a 12+ month process. And don’t even ask to see the judge, there are plenty of blockers to prevent that from happening. It is a shame that this isn’t ran more like Saluda County, with care and compassion.

Court is already a tough experience, but this one specifically made it lot worse. My mom and I had to go there multiple times regarding a probate case. The first time we showed up the judge was sick and the opposing party’s Lawyer took the opportunity to try to make us mediate in person with no legal representative and that was completely OK with the court because we reported it and nothing was done. Their lawyer tried to bully us to make a decision on the behalf of her party. We requested a new court date. We went. Their party was allowed to stay in the courtroom the entire session while me and the other two witnesses had to leave and give our testaments separately. Finally, when the court determined what they were going to do, they didn’t send it to us or our lawyer. They only sent it to the party who requested the probate giving us no time to appeal. It was sent to them September 18th with 30 days to appeal. Our lawyer called to see if they had come to a decision and was told that. I find that this court has shown me it is capable misconduct multiple times.

The staff at this office were incredibly kind. They helped me navigate probating a copy of my husband's will when I didn't have access to the original. They walked me through everything without making me feel rushed or that I was a bother. I received the paperwork I needed in a timely manner. Overall, fantastic experience during one of the most difficult times of my life
