BEWARE OF WORKING WITH MARINETTE COUNTY ADRC! I have an adult disabled daughter who I have provided excellent care for her entire life but once the ADRC got involved all they did was try to have my daughter removed from my care simply because I didn’t agree with their medical opinions and stayed on course with the medical plan given to my daughter from an actual doctor. Their social workers feel they know best about everything and if you don’t agree with them they start filing court petitions to get their way. It’s disgusting and puts a bad name on all the good social workers that work for the state to actually help aging or disabled people get whats in their best interest. They’ll traumatize and try to forcibly rip your family member away from you and place them in a facility where they don’t know anybody. I’m leaving this warning for people to understand that any services the ADRC can set you up with you can do yourself and save yourself from being under their thumb.

They failed to tell me and my wife that they were not in network with my insurance company. Letting us think we were covered until we canceled our appointments. Now they tell us we owe over $1300. That is a very predatory practice. Make sure you are covered because they will not!!!

They do nothing but lie to you. First they sent a letter saying that I would get 500 dollars in food stamps. Then they sent me a letter saying I would only get 339 for 2 of us. Which figures out to be around 67 dollars a week. You can't buy much meat with that. And how can one make extra money when they will count every extra 50 dollars. And a friend of ours only gets less than 50 dollars. I'd like to see them live on as little as what they give us. A few years ago they forced my daughter to sit for 20 hours a week looking for jobs. Her blood pressure went up and her sugars. Her doctor told her to stop. That it wasn't worth killing herself over it.
