Wonderfully accepting place, I felt so comfortable and cared for as a queer being seen here. The most comprehensive STI testing available in Madison, too!

This is what accessible, affordable healthcare should look like!! The staff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and non-judgmental. No insurance needed here, I got some testing done and left with some medications, I paid nothing and the doctor who treated me was extremely kind and seemed to genuinely care.

I was blown away by how amazing I was treated at this clinic. Everyone was so sweet and they were also super knowledgeable and helpful for every question I had regarding my health. Will be coming back here again.

5 stars all the way. I have been to the Center for Women's Health in Watertown, I've been to the UW system, I went to multiple clinics for IUD care. They highlighted the risks much more than the benefits and didn't give me (in my opinion) as informed care as I have recieved here. I've had successful placements before, but the placements have been debilitating. I've had unsuccessful placements, equally as debilitating and much more frustrating. I explained all my treatment trauma to the doctor and expressed my anxiety about the procedure. She was very informed in her role and offered other IUD options that I wasn't aware of. She heard my reasoning for wanting the IUD I came in for and she went with what I wanted and didn't push any further. She explained everything she was doing and everything she was using throughout the process and had a nurse to help her. She explained my anatomy and why other practitioners may have had an issue before and what she did to resolve the issue. I'd be lying if i said the procedure didn't hurt at all, but the procedure was far less painful than any other insertion attempts I've had prior. There was mild cramping after the procedure for the remaining of the day, I used a heat pack to help. The next day, there was pretty much no cramping and i was able to move as normal. Comparing this experience to my initial IUD placement in 2018, I vomited 4 times the day if the placement, i would get nauseous with every flare up of pain. I couldn't sit up without getting dizzy, and it took about a month to be pain-free. Go to Public Health instead. They know what they're doing.
