My wife and I got our wedding certificate in the mail after going through all the steps. We were fully focused on the obviously important task of providing our personal info accurately, in the correct ways and locations required. However, the official certificate lists her state of birth falsely as Iowa. We have verified that the application we filed indeed has another state written by my wife when we applied. This is the only form that calls for this peice of information. We called to find out how to fix this inaccurate info on this official vital personal record, we first verified what my wife listed was correct on the application. Immediately after saying that the official certificate listed something different than the application, she was told repeatedly that we must have failed at proofreading and that is why proofreading is needed multiple times throughout the entire process. After getting past how that is nonsensical considering we had literally just determined we gave correct info the single instance it was required we were informed that they didnt have any idea how this could be fixed. More frustrating than getting nothing from this long phone call was how adamantly and very repeatedly she was told this had to be our mistake despite us proving otherwise before even bringing up the issue.
