First of all I still look for quality service in our community! I' ve called and came to the HD, and each time, told different information. When it comes to traveling. They are nit organized and having their staff trained nor do they know anything about the shots their giving you. All they know is you have taken them. I would hope this gets better as I travel and for the sake of others.

I was in Virginia for a short time trying to get my food truck running. I did my best to work with this health department and the surrounding health departments. From my experience, they don’t want to help. They will do and say things that undermine you while having no real experience in the food industry. I truly don’t believe they know exactly what they are doing. I wanted to leave this as a heads up to anyone looking to open food truck and especially my fellow women in the industry. They will talk down to you and try to make things as complicated for you as they can. They don’t want you to succeed. It was a horrible experience working with them if I’m being completely honest. The turnover rate for health inspectors is high and I can see why. Very unorganized, lack of common knowledge and no communication. Please do better for the entrepreneurs in your city, they deserve better.
