I've dealt with many many county recorders and they are all usually very helpful. Untrue with Cowlitz County. I don't know if they get a bonus every time they reject a deed filing, but I have never seen a deed get rejected for more trivial items than in this Cowlitz County. It is like their job is to NOT RECORD SOMETHING. When in fact, their job is to assist the public in recording legal documents to give notice to other members of the public. Whoever is in charge of the recording section here needs to be fired immediately and all the staff needs to be retrained on what their true purpose is. Unbelievable.

Just had the most knowledgeable employee Terri answer all of my questions over the phone. She answered all of my concerns and questions and and was very kind. It’s wonderful to live in a town where you can call and speak to an actual person on the phone that knows what they’ talking about. Thanks for having such an amazing and helpful staff!

So now the DMV is charging $35.00 to take the CDL test and you only get one chance! What a rip off! So eveytime you go in to retake a test you pay $35.00. Don't fail a test because the DMV will charge you eveytime! Thanks for ripping the people! I think this tells you people "Your stupid so we have to charge extra"!

Never thought I would give a govt office 5 stars but they deserve it. I have been going here for 7 years and have been in many times to transfer vehicles and property. This is the easiest govt dept I have ever dealt with and never dread having to go there.

No line to renew tabs unlike c&l but you do gotta select an option and wait for your number to be called like the dmv. Usually it’s under a minute wait
