I am told that I must hire an attorney to get a title search done on mineral rights in Doddridge County . FAT LOT OF GOOD THEY ARE!

The Doddridge County Clerk's office if full of wonderful employees. I have spent far too much time in their record rooms running title. The Clerk and deputies are always very nice and helpful. They are quite easy to get along with (when you are asking for something reasonable. My job is to run title, these ladies job titles do not include running your property. Learn to do it yourself or hire someone else!☺). Even with as incredibly busy as they are recording, working with the public, documenting, indexing and taking the occasional document copy request (again folks this is above and beyond their responsibility, you should be getting it yourself, there is enough work for them to do in a day 😉) they always have a smile on their faces and are eager to assist. There are a lot of demanding citizens who expect more from these clerks than what they can and or are supposed to be doing. If you come in and ask how and where, you will always get service with a smile!
