Made an appointment for obtaining a license. We were helped immediately and it was an easy process, with clear directions on how to fill it out. The one thing I wish was different was the way the phone line was structured. I called in to ask a different question and I had to wait a full four minutes to reach an actual person. As with most offices, they try to point you to finding everything online which can be very frustrating when you have already looked. However, when I finally reached a person, they were very helpful and kind.

I just have to share my thoughts on the Placerville county recorder's office! Let me start by saying that the staff there are absolutely fantastic they used their own attorneys to check if my paperwork was legal . They are not only friendly, but also incredibly knowledgeable. I had to send my paperwork to their attorney, which is just part of their protocol, but they made the process so smooth. Now, let me tell you about the little surprises that made my visit to the office even more delightful. Can you believe they went all out with their Halloween decorations? It was like stepping into a magical wonderland! It made the whole experience so much fun and enjoyable. And to top it off, they even play these lovely bird sounds in the background, creating such a calming atmosphere. I wonder who pays for all the Halloween 🎃 decorations because that would probably be expensive. It looked like Disney in there. But wait, there's more! The views and grounds surrounding the office are absolutely breathtaking. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of the stunning fall colors. It's truly a beautiful place, and they take such great care of it. So, if you ever need anything recorded, I highly recommend going to the Placerville county recorder's office. Just mention that Marylou sent you, and I'm sure they'll take extra special care of you. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

We just got married recently here and I was very satisfied with all the nice staff and service, they made everything how I wanted, the room was perfect and beautiful , I loved the room and how it was decorated, we did the ceremony and licensing all in 1 day and only took 10 days after that or less to get our marriage license. We loved it, I would recommend this clerk office for anyone wanting to get to the point with a beautiful setting, They even have a nice outside area :) Staff was awesome
