Nice well maintained building. Customer service staff are now in lobby and they are going through some growing pains right now. My last visit to renew an alarm permit took way too long. I'm sure things will improve.

Within walking distance is Liberty Plaza ('Farmers Branch Walk of Honor" commemorating veterans and those affected by the war) as well as Denton Road Mini Park where you an check out a vintage (1940's?) Chevy 3600 truck which has some very unusual occupants. Farmer's Branch Historical Park is also not far, so everything is a "must see" to check out.

The triple stacked full parking lot is a good sign. Barely a table is available is anothersign. To the wary traveler and foodie, eating at a full restaurant is a safe green light to eat. Starting with super light chips and fresh salsa.....oh my! And then, there's the Wed Enchilada special with fresh cut onions.

I used to like Farmers Branch because of its parks and location but the city always has abusive policies and I keep encountering both racist and nasty behavior in that city. For instance, some neighbors were throwing bugs at my tenant just because she was Hispanic. The city management itself has a racist history - in 2007 ACLU and MALDEF had to sue them to take down an illegal and racist ordinance that the city had placed on landlords and tenants. Just recently, again, we did some work on our existing fence to make it look pretty. I did not realize that no change at all would require a permit. Somehow we got a notification, then they wanted us to provide a survey, that the people in charge of reviewing permits did not even know how to review, we had to pay for a permit and then an additional $500 fine. All this to make our fence look better. I promise that next time I will let my fence rot. And think twice before buying any real estate property in that city. There are cities around that do an outstanding job of working with landlords to improve things for everybody. Farmers Branch is definitely not one of them, and shows no sign of change.
