Supper shady county talked to Brit’s secretary today won’t file my wife’s judicial because they know she not gonna get it we changed our whole lives around we’re 5 years clean And my kids want there momma home but since this system is broken she will never get a fair shot gallia county needs change and to get that we need Evans out of the court room and Champlain out of sheriff they our not out to help and addicts and have let many die in the jail I’ll be the voice for all the inmates I have 5 years clean a great job just bought a house all we want is a fair chance and cand even get that with 15 certificates do better gallia county It’s not all about the money it’s about we do recover

I can't even begin to describe how messed up this town is, nor would anyone believe me unless they either lived there, or had the delightful experience of having to deal with people here. No one is helpful, no one wants to do their job, or knows how to. It's all in who you know, or how much money you have that will dictate how your experience goes.

Gallia County was created in 1803 shortly after Ohio became the 17th US state. Gallipolis was selected as the county seat. This building is the fifth to serve as the county courthouse as earlier ones were destroyed by arson or were simply too small as the county grew. The first settlers were known as the French 500, arriving in 1790. They established Gallipolis, which translates as "City of the Gauls." After the French, waves of Virginians, New Englanders, Welsh, and Germans settled in the area. In 1818, a group from Wales arrived, and Welsh remained the county's second language until the 1970s. The county also became a haven for free African Americans and escaped slaves during the antebellum period. This building was completed in 1984. It faces south and is a three-story red colored brick and concrete structure with a modern design. The south front has three large arches on the first story with recessed entrance. The center section projects from the main building. On the east side is higher section. The roof is hipped. As you walk the grounds, look for the high water mark from the Flood of 1884 when much of the city was submerged.
