Don’t even deserve a 1 star. The worst county in the state to get in trouble for anything. Everyone I encountered was as rude as can be. They will maximize penalties and threaten of doing so. They have no intentions of helping or bettering an individual, their main priority is to collect money and keep you in the system to keep collecting money. They have no understanding nor care of what’s going on with the rest of the country (or even the same state) to be consistent with other justice systems. Greene County Correction and Justice system is one of the biggest jokes of Southern Indiana and I’m disgusted to have ever walked through their doors. Their own court appointed attorneys speak the same about this money hoax of a place.

The woman answering calls was extremely unprofessional and rude. Bad representation of them. I called due to a notice from the BMV about a ticket not getting paid and my license being suspended. She said that I still owed $4 plus the $25 late fee. I informed her that I paid the $171 plus $11.25 fee. She said that it is supposed to be $175 and that the police officer did not give me the updated instructions. I went off of what the paper said to pay. How is that something that is my fault? I should not have to pay the remaining amount due to a clerical error on the police officer’s end.

Ignorance abounds! Receive a ticket, call to find out cost, told cost, NOTHING else. Send check for ticket, check gets sent back, "We only want money orders!", get money order, send back with original check to SHOW that we tried to pay before the due date, and mention that nothing was said about it being a money order please let people know this in the future, nothing else is said until a letter comes a few weeks later saying your ticket was paid late and we don't know why you sent this check (to show it would have been on time if you could tell people all the info they need!) so we are suspending your license with NO NOTICE because we want $25 dollars that we ALSO didn't mention because good communication is OPTIONAL in this county! Sad to live here, nice power trip and money grab. What a joke. Maybe utilize your resources in a better way.
