Well, I can understand the low rating now. Tyler always returns emails promptly but, other than him, the process is one-star. I requested a death certificate in late December. They have never answered the phone once and wasted 2 1/2 months and kept my $12.50 fee while searching dates from over 70 years ago rather than looking for a current death certificate. I entered our family member's dob and this was the period of time that spent searching. I don't understand why they assumed this and wasted so much time since they're backlogged. With being behind, it would serve them and the public much better by searching the correct dates. Whoever is the director of this dept., is not overseeing appropriately.

I am truly impressed by the speed with which this department responded to my report regarding a potential outbreak in my block several months ago. It was during the weekend when I called them and left a message. To my surprise, they returned my call that very weekend. I had anticipated waiting until a weekday for a reply, but they shocked me by reaching out immediately on the same weekend I called! Remarkable!

Called the Vital & Statics dept MULTIPLE times and left messages only to NOT receive any call back. All I need to confirm is if my online order for a birth certificate has been received as it's been over 2 months now and have not received it in the mail.

Once I got there I was taken care of right away. I didn’t have to pull a number. The clerk was professional and proficient. She was friendly as well. On the website it said they were changing buildings so I went to the City Financial tower but once I got there no one knew where the Vital Records was located. A passerby told me it was back at the Health Department building on Punchbowl. I tried to call but kept getting automated messages. That was quite frustrating. I went to the Punchbowl address gearing I was late for my appointment but I made it in time. Also, the website would not allow me to change the number of death certificates I wanted. The toggle button wouldn’t work. That’s why I had to go in person. Once I got there it went smoothly.

Outstanding experience! We received proactive, fast, and incredibly kind assistance with getting our marriage certificate and apostille. The gentleman who helped us was absolutely wonderful and made the whole process super smooth and stress-free. We truly appreciate his professionalism and amazing attitude. Sending warm greetings and a huge "thank you" all the way from Poland! 🇵🇱 Mateusz&Jagoda
