According to the Huntington County Visitors Bureau, this majestic building was designed by J.W. Gaddis, a Hoosier architect from Vincennes. This four-story structure was crafted with oolitic limestone from Bedford, Indiana and emphasizes Grecian architectural styles. The courthouse was completed in 1908, and took about four years to build. The breathtaking stained glass dome is a showstopper, and it pairs nicely with interior details like oak and mahogany woodwork, mosaic tile floors, and marble staircases and wainscotting. If you find yourself in Huntington, it's worth your time to visit this spectacular courthouse and have a moment of awe.
