Absolutely disgusting people, rude, racist workers. Never in my life have been treated the way independence Missouri recorder of deeds has treated me. Went two days back to back and they deny me. I went to record my paperwork, they tried to tell me how to file and that I had to file my paperwork separately when I told them it was one document. Discriminated against me calling me a “sovereign “ in which I’m not or do not associate myself as. Still was rude, smoke to my child disrespectfully and kept rolling their eyes, telling me why did I come at the last min, told me they weren’t filing my paperwork over and over again. Nasty attitudes, loud, disrespectful, cut you off at every point you talk, everyone refused to give me their names, refused to give me the directors name and contact information. Never again! I be glad when they open the downtown location up again! Now I can’t file my paperwork!!

If you don't know what you need, the clerk is very helpful. If you have an attitude problem, don't bring it here. Clerk has no problem giving it back to you (nicely of course), and security has no problem escorting you out.

Quick and easy. Frankly, it will be the only time I ever visit and I do not plan on having another wedding. Nice staff.
