I called to complain about an owner of an establishment who smokes outside with the gloves he prepares food with. This is just absurd as it is, and when I called to complain about this, the health department literally told me they were not going to do anything about it. I’m so livid that this health department is going to allow someone to get sick and not even go in for a checkup. I’m so disgusted by this. I tried to do the right then by reporting something I saw that was poor hygienic practices, but it seems like the health department does not care about the patrons of downtown Galena. I guarantee that someone has gotten sick because of this, but they don’t care, it’s apparently too much work for them to even go out for a checkup on the business, SMH.
