The Sigourney courthouse is beautiful. I love the ornate ceiling. The DOT office is very good. The driving instructor is pleasant and I felt relaxed during my test instead of stressed out and nervous.

I called the county attorney’s office for help with a case. Whoever I spoke with did not give her name and seemed confused when trying to answer simple questions. She admitted that she couldn’t do her job and couldn’t help me, so in a frazzled state she hung up on me. People need to know that they can depend on their elected officials and staff to know their jobs! That’s embarrassing!

This courthouse is trying to suppress our first amendment right of the Constitution. There are signs in the PUBLIC ACCESSIBLE areas that declare no recording and no cell phones. We are allowed to record our business at the courthouse and film the public servants as we conduct our business. This is a pathetic shame and these signs need to be taken down immediately!

Treasurers are definitely trying to impose a policy that violates our first amendment and freedom of press by putting up signs that say no cell phones and no cameras in the publicly accessible spaces. These tyrant cowards have no expectations of privacy while people are conducting business here. The public has a right to film and hold these public servants accountable. This courthouse needs to take these pathetic signs down immediately before they get sued for violating our first ammendment rights.

This is the second time I’ve visited the court house within a year and the lady that does the license in the treasure office is extremely rude. Every time I’ve been in the treasures offices she treats me and every other customer as if they are a burden, or an annoyance to her job. She either hates people or hates her job, maybe it’s both.
