Really blown away by the fabulous service I've received from the Lincoln Town Clerk, Valerie Fox. I contacted her looking for an archival record for one of my ancestors with very little information to go off of. She responded extremely fast with a super helpful and courteous reply. She at first couldn't find the record I was searching for, but when I mentioned a different year the event could have happened she found it with lightning speed! Lincoln has an AMAZING town clerk!

This will be long winded… but I am absolutely baffled by the lack of urgency to take action by town administration to correct a mistake they made. In June I got married at the Pierce House (which was amazing, would highly recommend the venue), and per our contract, we should have received our security deposit back from the town of Lincoln within 4 weeks of our wedding. Once the 4 week mark rolled around and we had heard and received nothing, we continuously reached out to the Pierce House director. For the following month, we heard little to no clear updates on when we should expect our deposit. Two months after our wedding, we then reached out directly to the Town of Lincoln administration. The first response we received was that administration had been trying to contact us! How ridiculous! We had received NO contact whatsoever for two months. The reason given for the deposit return delay was because of an issue on administrations end which was cleared up 3 MONTHS BEFORE our wedding. Putting frustrations aside, we provided our new address and awaited the two weeks we were told it would take to receive it. Two weeks comes and goes and after reaching out, yet again, I was told the deposit was shipped a week later than told to me AND it was not sent to the address we provided. We honestly do not know how much more we could have done to attempt to resolve this issue. Ultimately, if you’re needing something from the Town of Lincoln, be stern and straightforward and ask for clear communication and updates from administration.

Beautiful building and location with very helpful people inside. I called the day prior to my arrival and purchased 10 health certificates. The gal on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. The next day when I arrived they were ready as promised and it went like clockwork! Nice job by the clerks office!
