We have used this health department for Covid 19 vaccination for our daughter. The nurse here is super friendly and thorough and great with kids. The staff at the front desk is also very friendly and great with kids. A great service for the community.

I haven’t been called for my appointments for many months, I’ve called and left messages many times. I’m not taken seriously, my baby is almost 3 months old now and I still haven’t been able to have my appointment because they do not call me or respond to my voicemails. I feel like I’m losing my mind over this.

Monica from the WIC department called me for my check up appointment. She was talking so fast, I couldn’t understand. I asked her to slow down because I couldn’t understand. I apologized for not understanding her. I talked to Alex last week, she told me to request for shipments from the warehouse. So I told Monica I wanted that, she said it was aloud. Monica started getting a attitude, I was explaining calmly that I was told different. Then she said should would call me back. I ask her if my Ben if it were loaded because I was worried I would loose them if I didn’t find ish the appointment. She said no, I then asked who her manager was and what her name was. She told me. I then explained I was worried about my bennifits. Because I lost them once for no one calling me for my appointment I had scheduled, she then laughed at me and said okay. I called back and talked Alex, Alex said Monica already called her and told her a different story then I was saying. I’m so upset with how unprofessional this was, and most of the lack of care of the baby. I had my mother sitting next to me the whole time and I never was frustrated, yelling, I was nice and apologized. Now they told me they would have to reschedule my wic appointment, I’m very upset with how this situation was handled.

The lady that was sitting in her cubicle through the glass was VERY RUDE. I arrived & pressed the “Press call button for WIC” and she yells across the office “I’m on the phone!”. How was I suppose to know that she was the only person working back there? She kept looking at me & took her sweet time on the phone; as if I was inconveniencing her for showing up. She even was rude to her coworker right in front of me. She should not work there. At all. She is extremely rude & very unprofessional. I’m sure there are more pleasant individuals that would love to have her job.

Shout out to Chris and RN Leah! My family had a potential rabies exposure over the weekend (right before a holiday). Chris came to us within an hour and Leah provided very helpful information by phone. They both were kind, professional, and maintained good communication. Thank you to Chris, Leah, and the Frederick / Winchester health department!
