I wanted to leave this review for the nurses who took the time to talk out my options fully with me and gave me their undivided attention. I never felt rushed nor like I was not the priority. Thank you also to the security members at the front who do their jobs with a smile and made me laugh! Thank you for the work that you do for this community.

Haven’t seen a doctor for a while because they cost arms and legs. I had to get a procedure done (birth control removal) called around every family practitioners and they were not willing to help me. I was told I need to establish with them first, and just for talking to a doctor/NP for establishment, it would cost me more than $200. And then they were going to tell me if they can do the procedure or not. So for nothing, I had to give them +$200 for them to see if they can perform procedure or not. What a scam. I finally called health department, and right after I told them what i need to get help with, I got the answer, “of course, we can help!” With the lowest cost, and without all that BS doctor’s office would have put me thru. Staff I talked over the phone was eager to help, called back when he said he would, and made me an appointment. I cannot thank him enough.

I arrived early thinking there would be a long wait, but I was in and out with my documents in about five minutes. The door staff was cheerful and funny. The desk staff was curt, but not rude. Just down to business, which was fine with me. People who work for government agencies are often over-worked and under-appreciated. Thank you for your help today!

My family and I have used some Health Department services sporadically for several years now and have always had a positive experience! I’ve had to wait for a while before, but it’s to be expected with how busy the place stays and I’m sure how overworked the staff may be. I am also usually able to get ahold of someone on the phone with no trouble. Nobody has ever been anything but kind and professional to us, from security to the front desk to the nurses. I appreciate these people and what they do for the community!
