My husband and I flew down to Mississippi from Wisconsin to take care of business related to family property after a thorough discussion via email and phone with Elisha Moree. Ms. Moree directed me to bring trust documents to fulfill my written request to update the name of the property to reflect that of the trust. As trustee, that is my fiduciary and legal responsibility and it had been completed seemingly effortlessly in other states, county, and city offices. Upon arrival, Ms. Moree engaged in discourse regarding the purposes of my visit for which I produced the emails that she and I exchanged. She then continued to question me about why I was there when the emails clearly articulated the rationale for my visit. I found her statement, "we can go back and forth like this all day" to be a micro-aggression and highly unbecoming of a public official. Elisha Moree needs to be reminded that holding public office is equivalent to quid pro quo meaning...you provide acceptable public service in exchange for votes and your salary. Ms. Moree's behavior was far from acceptable. An alteration of her disposition is needed before the next election. Southern hospitality is non-existent in this sun-down town chancery's office led by Elisha Moree. Thank God for the lady who owns 14 horses who recorded the trust documents and the 2 ladies adjacent to the chancery's office who provided my husband with the next steps.

This court is a JOKE. The crooked bailiff was kind at first til my landlord whispered in his ear that I am transgender and he did nothing but attack me after that and the crooked judge that day in 10/8/2024 let the bailiff & the landlord get away with it because I guess she is too much of a bigot herself like the crooked bailiff. I tried to report it through April but all she said was to file an appeal. That is BS cause she could've connected me to the mayor's office. It's ok because I reported this all to the attorney generals office

Interesting courthouse with a working clock. The grounds were well kept and there was a historical marker showing that Columbia was a temporary capitol the state. A large war memorial honoring those who died in war, notably World War II, is on the front lawn along with a memorial to fallen law enforcement.
