This group of gals and like maybe two men will accommodate your needs in a timely fashion. They care and do what they can when you have questions. Make sure you tell them the great job they do. It's hard work and they can always use the boost.

We were working with Shauna worst person to work with...she wasn't at all helpful when I would ask for questions on what she needed to help our kids out. And every time we gave her what she asked for she would change her mind and ask for something totally different and tell us we gave her the wrong information. By far the worst customer service there is!!!!!! And she still isn't helpful at all

I have had interactions with most of the county workers there and I find it hard to find anyone who is willing help in timely manner! The health care department is the worst they are rude no matter the situation, very frustrating when people are already stressed and have to deal with this kind of attitude. They could care less about a person’s situation or health it’s only about the money!

This organization is corrupt and needs to be dismantled. The corruption extends from Social Services, through the Sheriff's Office, through the District Attorneys office all the way to the 2 judges on the bench. If you think you're helping a child who is being abused, don't turn them in to this organization! I've watched 2 families completely destroyed by this organization l, the same organization they were in weekly asking for assistance only to be turned away. I've also had my own encounter with them issuing a restraining order on myself with evidence that had nothing to do with me. As long as their name shows up on the court document, the judges will sign off with it. They are all in bed with each other. During the hearing I requested, SS said they could pitch their case in 2 hours. They were given a deadline to present evidence. They didn't turn over any evidence including a witness list until after the deadline only giving us 24 hours to prepare. (Of course we contested the deadline with the judge and the only option we had was to reschedule or deal with it. We had deadlines with a CHIPS case with another judge so a delay wasn't going to work). On the first hearing they just so happened to run out of time. This was to delay our case on purpose. We scheduled a second date which they ran out of time so we had to schedule a 3rd date for my witnesses. They coached their witnesses to say things a certain way and to add exasperated emotions and brought in a detective that remembered everything like it was yesterday. We requested a transcript and video of the body cam video from my interview which the Sheriff's office refused but the District Attorney was able to obtain it. The detectives memory was only as good for moments when it could benefit the county. He wouldn't admit to any threats he made and didn't recall saying critical statements. I became a foster parent because I seen a friends family in need after my friend passed away. If you think your helping a family, think again! They played the child in the matter as special needs but couldn't provide any evidence. We couldn't contest it because the child was in SS custody. They sent this kid into a treatment facility because he disagreed with their decisions.

If you have a child with mental health issues, DO NOT live in this county! McLeod caseworkers are an absolute joke and you will NOT get the help your child needs. You could have a child that is having regular panic attacks, self harming, SI, running away, getting picked up by police, and the caseworkers and their superiors STILL do not care. They do not care how much you beg and plead with them, they still will not help. In fact there will be times a caseworker might even laugh at you, which I had happen to me. I cannot even go into how awful all of it has been. I advise you with every ounce of my being that if you have a child with mental illness, consider moving to a better county or better yet just don't even move to McLeod in the first place. I could not be more serious. If I had the means I absolutely would have gotten out of here myself, but nope we are stuck with this godawful county. Don't worry I am going to make sure everyone i can reach knows how truly awful this county is. I don't know how you people even sleep at night.
