I’ve had nothing but great experiences the two times I have been here (once in 2022 and once in 2025). Both times the workers were kind and efficient. I love being able to schedule an appointment - this most recent visit I arrive about 5 minutes before my appointment time, they helped me right away, and I was walking out 10 minutes later with everything I needed. The facility is clean and organized, and despite some reviews that I have read, it does clearly state on their website that an appointment is needed for a drivers license renewal. If you’re an appointment type of person, this is the place to go! If you’re more of a last-minute/drop by when it suits you, then another place that allows walk-ins would be a better fit.

This government center was so efficient and everyone was very kind! A stark contrast to what is usually expected. I’ve went both in person and called their customer service line on a separate occasion and each interaction was positive with the employees being super helpful and friendly!

Hands down the best DMV in Minnesota! Doesn’t feel claustrophobic, friendly, clean, a lot of parking availability and super fast service. Just make sure to make your appointment online. We made ours for 5:45 pm and was able to get in a 5pm.

Came in an hour before close to get my vehicle registered lady at the front said they can’t do it because there was too many people there and they would run out of time. ( 5 people in the lobby) I explained I got my vehicle from Iowa and had no plates on it and have already been pulled over for it and I work late hours and had to take time off to come. Maybe should setup an online appointment signup or have an understanding of time.

Friendly staff and absolutely no hassle to go here, everytime I've came for license renewals I was in and out within 5 minutes. Ignore the negative reviews, most of them are people whining about having to schedule an appointment. You have literally never been able to just waltz into a DMV and get a license or whatever else without an appointment. Literally since the dawn of time.
