HHS has the BEST front desk staff. Everyone is always so helpful. They are always smiling and treating everyone so kind. There is one lady up there that has her hair always pulled back in a ponytail that kind of smells like a floral grandma, could be worse.. the DMV smells like bacon.

The workers may be overloaded but they do not communicate. They do not return calls in a timely manner and forget them answering the phone if you miss their call. Trying to get any form of contact with a person is a nightmare and you will get disenrolled from your healthcare for not providing the information you were trying to get ahold of them to provide.

I can't believe how neglectful you have become. I understand the caseworker shortage but that isn't no excuse to of accidentally cancel out my medical insurance. I've been on my medications for decades and the last time quitting cold turkey landed me in the hospital with a partial stroke TIA now I can't fill my prescriptions and I'm in a fetal position with uncontrollable shaking in severe pain and I can't go to the emergency room because I have no insurance. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. This is not Canada where they kill thier own people off. I was told this would be resolved yesterday and nope I was lied to. Sounds like a lawsuit for neglect....

I kindly ask that the front desk staff approach their role with politeness and understanding when assisting those they serve. On multiple occasions, I have experienced dismissive attitudes and judgment when coming in to drop off paperwork or ask questions. Instead of receiving the guidance and respect one would expect in such interactions, I have been disregarded, interrupted, and made to feel unwelcome. It is important to recognize that many people seeking assistance may already be facing challenges, and a simple act of kindness can make a significant difference. Professionalism, patience, and clear communication should be at the core of customer service. Listening attentively, responding with empathy, and ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity can foster a more positive and supportive environment. I encourage the front desk staff to approach each interaction with an open mind, refraining from making assumptions or judgments. A welcoming and respectful attitude not only enhances the experience for those seeking assistance but also reflects positively on the county as a whole.

From my experience living in Scott county for the last 6 months I believe county wise Scott is very racist and should be under investigation. I’ve had very few good experiences so far but all the ones that weren’t good were involving white women. I was lied to about what I needed for verification, lied to about what person in my household needed , talk to reckless and told that they don’t record their calls although from my understanding most of the interactions are phone calls , blatantly disrespected and talked to reckless , when I came in for something they act like they’ve never seen a person of color before . I believe they require more of people of color than anyone else and they go out their way to make things harder and more stressful for us. Oh one lady also miscalculated my income and was WAY OFF by the way and she was the nastiest of all my negative encounters . I honestly believe she did it personally . I do not feel like they follow due process with everyone and i feel like theyre probably all on one accord when it comes to the treatment of POC. They just seriously need to be investigated and face some audits to see if everything aligns treatment and process wise with everyone. I can guarantee it wont. Also based off the reviews i see the only people with positive experiences for the very most part were white
