We're in here regularly as part of our business. I've always found the Clerk's office to be helpful and accommodating. Communication is always forthcoming and information is timely and accurate. I realize it's a difficult position to be in, but I'd most certainly rather have the correct answer up front as opposed to multiple trips or interactions. A well balanced group of public service people adds value to the town, and we've got em.

These photos were taken of the historic town hall built in 1817. Due to structural problems it is locked and no longer used for anything. It is located across from the New Ipswich Congregational Church at 156 Main Street. The current town hall is located on 661 Turnpike Road.

Doesn't stay open long enough to get anything done. They were open Fridays but guess they needed another day off. People are rude and treat you like you know nothing even when you have the paperwork in front of you to prove you are right. Town needs an overhaul and an audit. I'd like to know where my tax dollars are going and why my taxes are so damn high.

Myself and another woman arrived at the town office well before closing today, and the door was already locked. The staff member claimed it was 4:00 PM, which was simply not true. I left work early specifically to file zoning paperwork, and because of their failure to honor their posted hours, I was unable to complete anything. This is unacceptable. I took a photo before leaving, time-stamped, proving I arrived prior to closing. Now I will have to miss additional work, lose pay, and hope that the office actually follows its stated hours tomorrow.

This office is an absolute disaster. They have posted hours that they don’t follow at all, the staff is rude…They make it impossible to do anything. Something as simple as registering a new car involves leaving work early. In this economy, that’s not an option for everyone. We had a wonderful woman years ago who was amazing, but unfortunately had to leave due to health problems… I miss her. The town office is a mess now.
