I was pulling an electrical permit and the secretary had poor customer service. I was told that my address was incorrect after I showed her on Google Maps she reluctantly enter the address. Then I was told my check had to be brought down stairs to the treasurer's office and the receipt needed to be brought back upstairs to the building department. After going downstairs and returning I couldn't find anybody to help me even after ringing the bell. I recommend you go to a different town hall. LOL

I contacted the Orleans Town Hall due to difficulty purchasing a shellfishing license for my father who is a veteran, over the age of 65, online. The receptionist was super friendly and went above and beyond to help me. After a couple of minutes she realized that I would need to call back the next day to speak with Deb to resolve my issue. When I called back the next day, both women were expecting my call. They had already updated the website and I was able to purchase his license with no issues. I am a business owner and deal with many customers and vendors on a daily basis. It is rare today to get friendly service and have someone actually take care of a problem for you. These women need to be commended for a job well done!
