The probation department at this courthouse is an absolute joke. I know somebody that had six months probation for drug charges, and domestic battery charges, And then in six months, the probation department had been in contact with her for a total of three times and maybe had verbal talk with her for less than a total of 10 minutes and six months not one single random drug screen nothing didn’t check in, didn’t talk about anything was a hey how’s it going? Good see you bye the next thing you know you’re forking out $120 for probation. I could see why they Have the same people in and out of their court rooms because the probation is so lightly handled. Hold people accountable for what they do ,do a better job with the taxpayers money that’s what you get paid to do.

Absolutely beautiful court house. The stained glass ceiling is stunning. The ladies in their offices were very accommodating. The sheriff sitting at his desk was very helpful. Hats off to Pike County.
