Consistent poor treatment by welfare employee The same awful lady I met with a year prior (after ringing the bell to no response until hollering), also when fleeing domestic violence, was there. She is mean, likes conflict, doesn't agree or care about the law, and tries to cause arguments. She had the opportunity to help me get out of a domestic violence situation and didn't try. Luckily, I found someone else who cared, but just don't even try Portsmouth welfare. Or at least walk out as soon as she gets combative, like I did this time.

I have been visiting on and off for years. What was once Portsmouth Hospital 🏥, where I was born. There is more room and parking available than the old location. The police 🚓 department is next door 🚪. I have not had any issues with the service provided by the staff. I like the Christmas 🎄 lights during the holidays.

We are new to the area, coming from a very large, busy city. This experience was such a delight! From the moment they answered the phone (yes, a real person!) to when we walked in. Even when they had to tell us we didn't have the right paperwork, they were so sweet and helpful to give us other ideas about what they could accept. We registered our dogs and our cars in less than 45 minutes. Both clerks happened to be named Caitlyn(Kaitlyn?) (sorry for the incorrect spelling, ladies). They were both so professional, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. To their boss: they are terrific and deserve all the praise!! We are gonna love living in Portsmouth!! Thanks so much!
