Awful ride women who work there. I know a man who went in with a paper showed he got an address for a piece of raw property he bought, got a voters registration card and got permanent license plates for all 7 of his vehicles.hendis not have a Montana driver's license yet . I went in , my tags were expiring June, I had utility bills and rental receipts from where we were living while we built on the raw property. They would not give me permanent plates for my 1995 car because I did not have a Montana license yet, they were 3 months out booking, which I was having surgery then with a 6 week no using that arm after breaking my pelvis in April. I paid $96 and had to go back a year later and pay $127 for permanent plates. I went to Polson for my license, nice wonderful people. While I was getting my plates this year, they told a other couple who were trying to get plates for their PU truck here, that since they owned a home in Texas they could not get a license plate for their truck here. Wrong, if they claim Montana as their place of residence they can get plates and licenses. I would have explained this to the nice elderly couple but hadn't gotten my permanent plates yet and knew I wouldn't get them if I told the people the correct information. I hope I never have to deal with these rude power hungry women again

Best motor vehicle experience I have ever had. Was quite amazed by the level of customer service. DMVs are historically known for having unpleasant employees. Not the case here. Robin was so pleasant and fun to talk to.
