I would give Linda Hathaway a zero because she is extremely rude, and gave the impression she is impatient and unhelpful with providing services to town residents. I needed an official document for a foreign births registration and I asked to have it notarized. She replied, "I don't notarize my own signature." I replied, "I'm sorry I didn't know," to which she replied, "No, Debbie told you," in a extremely rude tone. No, Debbie did not tell me that the Stow town clerk does not notarize her own signature. I don't think this is information that would be generally known by the public, and I do not think as a public government employee it was at all professional under any circumstances to take a rude tone with a town resident (or anyone). As a government employee myself, I am shocked! I have had an amazing experience getting documents notarized by Hudson's town clerk. I would highly recommend going to Hudson. Not only that but her assistant Debra Seith forged her signature on an official document with the town stamp/seal on it. My guess would be that she's concerned about that and instead of being helpful decided to take her concern out on me.
