Processing times are set at state level — county offices do not publish their own — and are estimates that vary with demand.
The Union County Courthouse is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the local community. Their wide-ranging services encompass vital functions, including monitoring water quality, food safety, and sanitation to safeguard environmental health, promoting public health through educational programs, managing disease control, overseeing permits and inspections, and actively participating in emergency preparedness.
While their mission is vital for the well-being of the community, its essential to note that they typically do not handle vital records like birth certificates, death certificates and marriage certificates . The interior is well maintained. The court room on the first floor is relatively small with two office chairs for the defendant and their council and two office chairs for the prosecutor and witness and five to six chairs for observers with various pictures of the courthouse, old summons letters, and a print of the judgment of Solomon by Gustave Doré . The jail and sheriff's office are also here with a bunch of service badges in a display case on the wall outside the office and other union county department offices are here as well.
