Samantha harpy extremely unprofessional!! She arrives to my address and has an attitude right off the rip. To top it off, she wouldn't conduct any business with me because i didn't have a mask in my own home and she left. Now i have kids and in my apartment, my ceiling is falling down. What im not understanding is, why couldn't we stand 6ft apart? Samantha harpy had her mask on so isn't her mask doing the job by keeping her safe? Funny she touched my door knob and re adjusted her mask, to me that kinda defeats the purpose, then again who am i.

Idk why Samantha Harvey is even working here. She has no problem contacting landlord for anything she needs . But doesn't contact tenants at all because apparently she doesn't have to . She truly shows that she only care about what the landlord says and that's it. She don't care about tenants. She tells you time to show up than when you call you either go straight to voice mail or if she even picks up she will say she never said that. This woman has serious issues. If you end up getting her SWITCH INSPECTOR . Didn't even do a proper inspection . Just took a picture and called it a day . GET RID OF HER

REPOST FROM ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES REVIEW….because they’re “backed up” Unprofessional, negligent and disorganized. It takes 5-7 business days for a phone call yet that call never is received; messages ignored or deleted. Karen the receptionist: Telling you people who seek your help “well we’re backed up, you have to wait” is the most unprofessional thing you can say. It’s obvious that there is a heavy caseload but that doesn’t mean people’s health should suffer because apartments are improperly assessed by this office. My health has been declining for a year as all my information was documented incorrectly and ignored by a man who can’t control his temper. NO HEAT FOR A YEAR, MOLD EVERYWHERE, NO FRIDGE FOR 10 DAYS ALONG WITH NO WATER FOR 10 DAYS just some of my unanswered and unresolved issues. This is embarrassing for Waterbury, all of us deserve better from City employees. Please stop neglecting people health needs especially when children are in the household. ONE WHOLE YEAR AND NO RETURNED CALL NOW DAY 10. People are desperate for jobs, maybe hire more workers or get rid of the ones who are unprofessional.

This place is of zero help. Your entire building is infested with German roaches but when the inspector shows up for 2 mins and doesn’t see a live one he will gaslight u and say “this is not an infestation” even though u have sticky traps covered in them and then when he leaves one will crawl on ur floor. Also will say “i cant tell them to do whole building” when these roaches have been multiplying for an entire year. Absolutely shameful!

I had an extremely negligent and frustrating experience with the Waterbury Health Department. My child was diagnosed with lead poisoning, and instead of providing meaningful support, timely communication, or accountability, we were placed in a roach motel on south main street and then left in the dark. Follow-ups were inconsistent, updates were nonexistent, and responsibility was repeatedly deflected. The emotional and physical toll this took on my family was completely ignored. A department tasked with protecting public health should not leave families navigating serious health crises alone. This experience showed a severe lack of organization, urgency, and compassion. I would not recommend relying on this department if your child’s health is on the line. I’d give no stars if I could.
