Outstanding visiting nurse service that serves the communities of Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, Deep River, Clinton and Killingworth, CT. I recently had a total hip replacement and I was offered visiting nursing services for 2-weeks following surgery. The initial nursing service that was contacted on my behalf by my hospital Case Manager never contacted me within the requisite 24-48-hours of discharge. I informed my Case Manager and asked that they reach out to all of the nursing services again “in-network” and see if other than the 2 she provided respond. (FYI: The list had about 15 services on it and ONLY 2 responded.) Within 15-minutes following my call with my Case Manager, I was contacted by Noreen from Westbrook Visiting Nurses & Public Health. Heather, my case manager, visited my home THE SAME DAY to open my case and assess my needs. The physical therapist, Noreen, also visited me the same day Heather opened my case. The next day Alicia, occupation therapist, visited me to assess my ability to manage my daily activities and provided helpful suggestions. I could not have asked for a better team of knowledgeable, caring, experienced, compassionate professionals to care for me. 🙏
