I called the Health District Dentist in March and was told $150 per visit, and $60 for Xrays on 1st visit. First visit is Exam and Xrays only, 2nd and other visits are for the dentist to do as much work as they can in 1 Hour. I live on SSD, so I don't have just shy of $400 cash to see a dentist! The Dental Mission's sliding scale was $25 per visit, including the single tooth XRay!! How does the county justify charging so much, especially for cash pay without dental insurance? I can't afford to drive to Clyde or Merkel for Resource Care Dental, so I don't know what to do, as a disabled Abilene resident!!

We drove two hours and then we had to leave because they told us their phone system does not work so we didn’t have all of our important paper work
