Dear Mr. DerAsadourian, I just learned last week that I might be entitled to a tax break because OF MY AGE AND INCOME LEVEL. WHAT REALLY SURPRISED ME IS THAT THIS IS NOT COMMUNICATED MORE SPECIFICALLY TO THE OLDER RESIDENTS OF AVON. . When I asked if this benefit was included in the tax bill every year I was told that it was in the Avon newsletter. But, I have to say- who reads every newsletter we get? The water company, the electric company, the phone company,etc- I think you understand my point. I am suggesting very strongly that residents in the AVon community be informed of a benefit they are entitled to have. Please include it in the tax bills this year. Thank you Francine Hunter

I want to give a big shoutout to Tina in the Town Clerk's office (presumably a part of Town Hall). I called for advice on filing a real estate document. She was knowledgeable and helpful! She even called me back the following day to confirm some points in my initial questions. I am so encouraged that there are kind and competent people in local government like Tina!
