The ladies in the Vital Records department are amazing. Very kind and helpful. I appreciated their extra efforts in making sure I got documents I needed on time; they also kept me informed of the progress. My family and I were also treated kindly by the guards at the door. All around I had an excellent experience in dealing with everyone I came in contact with!

The Barrow County Probate Office is awesome! The ladies were pleasant and knowledgeable and went out of their way to be helpful. There is not one thing that they could have done any better. I’d like to thank them for making the process so easy.

The office clerks are helpful but limited in the scope of what they could do. I called numerous times to complain about an executor, in an attempt to notify the judge of the fraudulent acts the executor was doing. Judge did nothing. In the end, I received photos of my loved one from the executor nothing else. And as nothing was done in the beginning there is nothing that can be done besides suing the executor. As a living heir it’s unfortunate that the courts would prefer these things to go to civil court, in a way to allow the judge to not have to deal with things in a timely manner. Lesson learned. If you are not an executor, hire an estate attorney and DO NOT expect any tips, useful information or help from an estate judge. They get paid regardless so it doesn’t matter to them. 😅
