The Wic office there are rude and judgmental. I don’t know about the rest of the place but basing it off the Wic, I wouldn’t recommend going to any of them for help

If you need vital statistic money, they take your money and do nothing. I placed an order via VitalChek and then called them to cancel it. They told me it was. I was charged. I called the Bental Vital Stats office to see if I could close it. They told me that they could not since they had "already worked" on the order. The did nothing. They sent me an email stating they could "not" find my mother's birth certificate. I had placed a correct order with the WA State Health Office and they had the SAME issue, but they helped me over the phone, even though they were short staffed, to fix it, and print it out. Shame on Benton Franklin Vital office for awful customer service and not doing their work.

It’s really disappointing how many illegal street food vendors are now popping up all over the city, especially on weekends and at night, and the Health Department seems to be doing nothing about it. These vendors have no permits, no inspections, and are clearly ignoring all basic food safety rules. Meat left out in the open, sauces with no ice, no gloves, no sanitation — yet nothing is done to stop them. Meanwhile, those of us who pay for our health permits every year, get certified as food managers, pay taxes, insurance, employee wages, we follow the law and do everything right. And it’s completely unfair that we have to compete with people who don’t follow any rules and pay nothing. There are videos all over TikTok showing where they set up at night. It’s obvious, yet nothing changes. No real enforcement, no serious fines, and no accountability. While we pay every month to operate legally, others break the law and make money without any consequences. It’s frustrating, unfair, and honestly a public health risk.Do your job!

Get your upto date vaccinations, and lots of DSHS services. The employees are always great. They have been the local SafeKids host for many years, and have done a great job with it.

Just go through vital check for BC or DC... They do not inform you of the information actually needed, just tick a box saying *something* is missing, then call with THEE rudest lady stating we'd have to resubmit because "they don't have record of his birth" when I sent my one of two copies to them the 1st time, which I didn't get back so not sure how that was a mistake on my part? Which she so clearly wanted to confirm that it was my fault for them losing documents, sure, yeah that sounds right. Never normally leave bad reviews, but just save your time and sanity and go through vital, unless you want to wait TWO months for them to ultimately say you have to start over 🙃 rant over, do better.✌🏻
