I am currently trying to call (call started 10:32) to schedule an appointment. Have been on hold 45 minutes no one has answered to say “hold on” “we’re busy” nothing. The automated system just says every 30 seconds “your call is very important to us please wait for the next available representative”.

The nurse laughed at me when I was rating & describing my pain. Asked me why I didn’t try urgent care & told me she didn’t know what they could do for me.

Only giving two stars because the medical staff here has been nothing but kind and understanding with my special needs child. The office staff however needs a couple lessons on patience and humility. My other child and his grandmother who accompanied me to help were kicked out of the building for my son “crying too loud”. Sometimes I’m baffled at how offices and staff who deal with children OFTEN treat the children and families they serve. It’s as if some people have not an ounce of kindness or consideration in their bodies despite seeing all walks of life daily. Shame on the office staff. I already deal with judgmental stares and unwanted attention with my special needs child, I should be safe from that in a health dept or any office that handles care for children. Thank you to the doctor and nurses, I wish your clerks reflected how amazing yall are.

I have been tried to get an emergency dental appointment for two months since I don't have insurance, I'm currently fighting with tenncare about dying me coverage even though I qualify but in the meantime need seen asap but they keep telling me I have to wait a month to two months before I can be seen, I can not afford a big dental bill either, I had an appointment on April 16th but they cancelled it two days before and didn't tell me why. I am in so much pain with a broken tooth digging into my jaw that it sometimes causes blood.

As someone that has medical PTSD and thus become "medically feral" and untrusting of most medical professionals, I will report that I was pleasantly surprised of our experience today. Crystal (Krystal?) exuded absolute EXCELLENCE and was very understanding, professional, accommodating and patient. Blount County is incredibly fortunate to have her.
