Rude woman on the phone returned my call from tax office today after I received an excise bill with a $25 demand fee on it and it's the FIRST BILL I GOT. So there should be no fee. They DONT CARE if people's work hours are cut bc of covid, they don't care if I can't pay it...the fee stands. This is so wrong as it's the first bill I got and the post office is so slow and disorganized because of covid right now. You are literally taking food out of peoples mouths and DONT CARE.

The town clerk told me I am required to have a safety certificate to prove that my dog is a service animal. Once I pointed out that there is no information saying this on the dog license page, I guided James Casey (the Town Clerk) to the Massachusetts Office on Disability where it says “people are not required to possess any certification or identification for a service animal”. I did not appreciate the attitudes, nasty looks, and dismissal I received for standing up for my rights a disabled veteran. You can’t treat people like this. I just tried to call 01/2026 to ask for a fax number and was refused.

Living in Braintree for 30 plus years and whenever I deal with the town it is GREAT. The staff are amazing. So professional and willing to connect in a relatable way. Yesterday I spoke with Louise in Planning - she was so kind and helpful. Today Nate helped me with my water meter and explained so much to me. (I love the new water meter app!)
