Disorganized! time wasting nonsense, called in for jury clearly was advised to be there before 8am as I was, but some people chose not to follow the instructions and everyone who was here on time now have to sit and wait on those who are ignorant and the staff is not starting their jury selection till everyone showed up. Give you 30$ and expect you to sit here and waste your time.

Everyone I worked with at the clerk's office was incredibly nice and helpful. Overall things didn't take too long and some of the issues were because of my misunderstanding and the Post Office being slow, not the court. They were very polite and understanding, and did everything they could to help me.

One of my children participated in the mock trial camp and they had their trial at the Carroll County Court Annex building. Everything was great except for the security check that was performed right when we entered the building. It was so unprofessional that it really colored the entire experience, hence the 1 star. We knew that we had to go through security to attend the mock trial and were prepared to empty out our bags for the scanner and the metal detector. I had to bring our water bottles (which were metal) for my other two children as it was over 100 degrees (not including the heat index) today outside. The "gentleman" who ran the hand-held metal detector on me was VERY rude to me and my children. I honestly have no clue why he was so rude to us -- barking at my kids to get out the way so he could scan me and rolling his eyes at me because I had metal water bottles. No one told me we couldn't bring them and I wouldn't have if I had known. It was so cringe-worthy and embarrassing -- especially when he was scanning me with the metal detector -- he saw I jewelry on and continued to scan my bra area. If the issue was because I brought the metal water bottles, I would have put them back in the car or asked if I could store them somewhere in the lobby. Since he begrudgingly let us past without explanation, I really don't know what his problem was. Definitely left my daughters upset. This guy needs to either retire or be fired and shouldn't be around children.

A court that fails to follow its own mandatory rules of service undermines the integrity of the entire judicial process.
