I've been trying to enroll myself and my kids on the Maryland Health Connection. When I got some troubles with the website I went to see who could help me at te Frederick Health Department. There you are treated with no respect, they hide behind their computers and it is impossible to know what they are doing, even if they are doing something to your account. To be fair, The first person who took care of my case was actually very efficient and very friendly. It is when I got her team leader lady that I felt very uneasy and not respected. I have been waiting for this person to unlock my web page on the Maryland Health Connection for more than 2 weeks now and I am still waiting for her to do something constructive. She does not answer her phone. Fortunately I have her email, which give me the proof I am following on my case when she does not. Be very patient and have all your courage available if you have to deal with those people. It is really a shame!

Came here from MoCo to get birth certificate on 2 separate occasions. Staff are extremely helpful, efficient, friendly, professional. It seems rare to hear such great reviews for a gov office, but I sincerely feel they were exceptional. Highly recommended. I live closer to the MoCo health dep office in silver spring, but i don't even bother trying to go to there since I would likely just be turned away.

I went to the FCHD office this morning to get a birth certificate for my newborn. This is one of the last few offices in Maryland that isn't appointment only. The staff was extremely efficient and courteous. There was some problems with my paperwork for my child at the birth hospital and instead of passing me along, they helped me get it fixed so that I could leave their office with printed birth certificates. This is the way a government office should be operated!
