I have lived in Charlestown for 29 years and have never had any issues with the town office employees. Everyone has always been very helpful, courteous and friendly.

I cannot believe that a staff member assaulted..PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED & then stole property from a peaceful member of the public. Absurd & absolutely unreal. I am frightened by this place. The whole city seems to have a violent, sadistic undertone. The environment is extremely unwelcoming and if you’re thinking about visiting here at anytime.. I would strongly..strongly recommend you consider other options.

I just watched with my own eyes the guy behind the counter hit and push a citizen out of the building all because he was recording his transactions I will never visit this town again it’s disgusting that someone violates another’s first amendment rights.

Very normal small town clerk’s office. They are all helpful and respectful and do good work, it’s unfortunate that an internet mob got sicced on them

The folks in this office are knowledgeable and make routine visits quick and simple. It's unfortunate that one disgruntled out-of-towner has apparently recruited some friends (who also don't live here) to bash this office after he spent weeks tormenting citizens and employees. I would encourage anyone reading the 1 star reviews to take them with a big grain of salt!
