Probably the easiest in-person public building/dept. interaction I've ever had. Well done, City Clerks of Portland!

I had a question about my property taxes and spoke w/Shelley from the tax assessor’s office. She was very knowledgeable and nice and gave me a helpful tip I hadn’t even brought up.

My fiancé and I came in to get married. Lily was amazing! She was so sweet, professional, and accommodating! We need more kind people like Lily in this world! Thank you for making our special day perfect!

We’re from NY, and honestly—it was perfect. Simple, quick, and exactly what we wanted. If you’re thinking about getting married here, the spot is adorable for photos, and the ceremony area is on the second floor (thankfully there’s an elevator!). I’d been in contact with the staff for about a year, trying to see if we could book far in advance, but they only allow scheduling 2–5 months before your date. Once that window opened, it was super easy to set everything up. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend!
