Wow- the clerk was amazing. Rare blend of professional and friendly. Very welcoming to us and everyone who came in for marriage licenses and notary documents. She promptly processed everything for us. There were 6-8 people while we were there- she had everybody laughing and smiling. I couldn't have wished for a better experience. Congrats to RVA!!!

The ladies working in this office are incompetent, at best. The simplest transactions are overwhelming for them to perform in an friendly and efficient manner. Their leadership makes excuses for their incompetence instead of looking for solutions to address the poor operation. They are a pathetic bunch--but, hey it's Richmond. I was expecting far too much.

Extremely negative experience with the "jury office" which consists of two best pals who are not held accountable for horrible customer service. When I stated several legitimate possible reasons that I would most likely be disqualified from jury service, I was told that I couldn't use "my privilege" to get out of jury duty, staff member then lied and said she had no supervisor I could speak with.

Would have given more if the cop behind the desk wasn't so rude at the end of my visit. If I'm there to pay a ticket I'm there paying the county tax money. I'd at least expect the same respect as I give and I'd have to say I'm that guy who is nice to everyone and everything. But it's very rude to hear a cop tell me that I should have gone to traffic school. After paying a parking ticket. This is why people think cross about police these days. Other than that everyone else I ran into had amazing costumer service by helping me get to the right spot without me wondering around trying to understand where to go.

I called to ask how to get my name of the deed after my mother (clearly a lay person but following the banks instruction). The supervisor gets on the phone talking about I'm the mercy of the bank and the account went into default when my mother died. I said ma'am the bank isn't even taking the position. I just need to know what I am supposed to do. I gave the first lady the address and name so I'm sure they have the information available. Instead of telling me what she is paid to tell me in this state when someone dies without a will we receive a list of heirs from probate or wherever. I got that information during a 20-minute free consultation. He was able to pull it up and see the list of airs right there. He explained that it is not a requirement to have the deed redone in the state the circuit court is updated with a list of heirs. She is slowing down this process with the foolishness. First it was probate then the commission of accounts and now the circuit clerk. I'm not sure what is going on downtown but this is one thing that I am sure of. Some information is public is confidential you have to provide documentation to prove that you have access to it. I recently learned that some individuals have been down there and crying about things that has nothing to do with them and probably making statements that are false. This is the court clerk if we can't count on them to be professional and unbiased at all times then some things need to change immediately.
