  I came to this courthouse seeking justice and basic safety. Instead, I found a system that mirrors the crisis outside its doors. During my own housing case, I brought photographs, mold test results, documents from code enforcement, medical documentation, payment documents, and more- none of which were meaningfully addressed. This is a river town that has flooded more than a dozen times since the 1970s, yet mold is not even acknowledged as a public-health hazard. Residents breathe the same damp air while leaders look the other way. In my case, intentionally. The wider picture is staggering: • This county has the highest suicide rate in Pennsylvania • Columbia County residents report nearly six days each month where their mental health leaves them unable to function • Only one mental-health provider for every 1,410 people, meaning support is basically non existent. • Columbia County has a poverty rate 15% higher than the state average • One in seven children self-harm; one in twelve have attempted suicide These are not abstract numbers. My next-door neighbor has tried to end his life four times in twelve weeks. When a community lives with chronic flooding, hidden mold, and poverty, the nervous system never gets to rest. The mental-health statistics here aren’t a mystery- they’re a symptom. Yet the courthouse—THE VERY PLACE MEANT TO PROTECT THE COMMUNITY —turns a blind eye, silences those who speak, and carries on with business as usual while the annual fair takes priority over public health. I urge state health officials, environmental agencies, and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts to investigate and address these conditions before more lives are lost. Justice should smell like clean air, not damp basements. Silence is not safety. IT IS TIME TO DO BETTER.

  VERY MIXED. The man at the front was young and super helpful and kind. I got stranded on the side of the road the other day because of a gas pump error at citgo saying that it put gasoline in the car and it didn't and we just thought that it was a bobber malfunction at the tank or a sensor malfunction. I got stranded on the side of the highway yesterday, and could not make it there to file for my appeal. My case was on the 7th, last month, I had 30 days from the deposition. I got home at 1pm but that day counts as a full day towards the thirty....I came today on the 8th. I don't understand how the day of deposition would count towards any of that when half+ the day was over when the hearing started but i came on the 8th. A grey haired woman was very rude to me. A very snarky how can i help you. Just glowing with anger and unprofessionalism. I told her I have to file my appeal and I've been out Trucking I've been sick the last 10 days.. I had the problem with citgo yesterday. So after giving her the paper she returns and says I can't do anything for you it's a day over. I quietly asked her why because I don't understand how the day of the deposition counts towards the 30 days, and she started yelling at me. I'm a pastor, but I'm a human being first. I had to stop her in her ranting, "please don't talk to me like that there's no need for you to speak at me like that, im already struggling" Every head in the office turned, because i said it as it was. Im not a punching bag and everybody needs to be kind with each other because we never know the battle that the other person is facing. But to be yelled at in response after asking kindly to be explained..... I was also given the judgment that makes no sense. Having paid an extra $750 out of my own pocket towards the local trucking school and they drew the contract up to a point that it was wrong that it could not lead to a license. I had to retake all the tests anyway. The judge let them keep my money they literally apologize to court and said we made mistake or sorry.... That doesn't give me the $750 I paid out of my pocket back. It doesn't repay me for the additional 6 weeks I missed of work. The judge didn't look at any of the evidence the man admitted that he was wrong in the courtroom and...... He did nothing. Very unusual, probably a good place to have internal affairs check out. Blows my mind, but truthfully, if you think you can scream at me and take your anger out on anyone but a punching bag than that is just wrong, cruel and unprofessional, I'm sure a lot of people just stand there and take it i wont. With all due respect I'm not going to let anybody power thrust and disrespect me for nothing because they have a job title. I have one too. Underneath it it says be kind to everybody you meet because we're all fighting our own battles. You won't find that in the prothonotary's office. If you cant respond in kindess you shouldn't work there. Very mean woman with grey hair. Take a vacation or perhaps you could run a football team this will allow you to scream at everybody and you'll get paid for it!!! God bless guy's. If you're not happy where you work and understanding that it's your job to explain such things, then find a job where you are happy 😁
