I have nothing against the Contra Costa County Clerk's office at all however, they need to find a better solution than "VitalChek" to manage/service requests for documents etc. They give you the runaround by refusing to accept ID Verification forms for any reason they like. Try calling them ... you will be on hold for a minimum of an hour, and randomly told how important your call is & "WE" will be with you shortly. Yes I gave up after the 3rd 60 minute call. See the attached .... "The dates must be formatted as MM/DD/YY on the top portion of the Sworn Statement and bottom portion of the Certificate of Acknowledgement." Seriously, you need to change this provider.

This office had only 2 customers, me and someone else. We got there when they opened at 8am, so maybe we were there before it got crowded, if it even got crowded. Anyway, all the clerks were friendly and courteous. It was our first time here so our experience was great!

Busy place offering many services under same office. The staff are very nice and helpful. You get a number when you check in and a text message when your number comes up. Limited free parking in the building for visitors but plenty of meter parking on streets around. They have extended hours till 6:30pm on Thursdays so check the timings before u come. Highly recommended

Courteous, professional and prompt service for the 2nd time in last 3 months. Never imagined I would be giving a 5 star review to a government agency. Today William at the front desk provided me exceptional service with a large smile and genuine care similar to my last Four Seasons stay in Atlanta - and did the same for all other patrons. At the window Jenn offered a kind experience for birth certificate copies which end to end took less than 10 minutes. Tracking system and text notifications are first class. Whatever training is being provided please keep it up. And consider extending to the DMV and federal offices too. Everyone please know your caring service is much appreciated.
