We got married in this county from out of state and sent money back to get copies of our marriage certificate. Finally got them and they were folded up into a regular envelope all bent. My husband is calling tomorrow to see if they will replace them and sent it in a flat mailer that keeps them flat. It’s an important document that I’m paying for and wanting to display. One star until this is remedied and if anyone else is looking to get a nice copy of their marriage certificate don’t mail for it. If I had time I would have just gone back but I was an out of state bride with a honeymoon to get to. I assumed it would come in a certified flat mailer, you know, because it’s a certified and sealed document.

So let me start by saying that normally the Coweta County Government as a whole is normally very efficient and fast especially, compared to other government entities. However when calling to renew my weapons carry permit and make an appointment I was met with a automated messaged directing to come in person during business hours. So several days later I come to the court house during business hours. I am then told I would have to call and make an appointment and was handed a piece of paper with the same number I had called before..... this was the first irritation. So then I call this time a city employee answers and tells me the appointments are almost 30 days out, Second irritation. Not sure where the miscommunication fell but there were certainly others there in the same boat. Plan accordingly then normally great customer service and the ease of appointment setting once I called was the only thing keeping this from one star.

My experience was pleasant. Customer service was prompt and polite. I was getting my newborns birth certificates and everything went without a hitch. I highly recommend you always research what documentation is needed before request services at probate court. I see some reviews that show people just not being properly prepared.
