I lived in my an apartment for 3 years before a city inspector even stepped foot in my apartment. Housing inspecrions done by the city are to be done annually. So the only reason they showed up was because i bitched at the landlords office about it. Now i brought the stairs to the second floor apartment to the inspectores attention. Now wooden stairs that have screws beeaking on the steps, wood worping, wood rotting, and the whole stair case is wobbly as you walk up them. The support column for the steps is no longer touching the ground. So what doe these inspectors do. Obviously it isnt to make sure repairs are being done. How much money does it take to buy off an inspector. The end of october 2024 was when tje inpsector was here. It is now july 8th 2025 and no repairs have been made. Hell the smoke detectors and co detectors need to be replaced and the inspector made a comment about it and they havent even been replaced. I will find out just how much money was paid to the inspector to look the other way. I think a phone call to trenton is in order and have aomeone from the state follow these inspectors around to insure that they do their jobs correctly
